Toepassing & onderhoud
The particular technology of this film allows an indoor application, on large glass panels (refer to compatibility chart below) while reducing risks of thermal shock on the glazing (the reduction of the risk does not apply in the case of overlapping or superposing of films).
- Prior to any film application to a substrate prone to degassing, it is the responsibility of the prescriber and applicator to make sure of the compatibility between the film and the substrate and carry out an optimal substrate degassing (in the case of synthetic glass such as PMMA). The applicator is liable for any appearance of bubbles due to substrate degassing.
- Indoor application.
- Application to vertical glass surfaces, up to a maximum of 2.5 m².
- During storage, always handle with clean and dry hands.
- Always remove the liner at the moment right before application, and squeegee the film right after as instructed during the HEXIS training courses.
- Application with soapy water only.
- Adhesion to glass, except grain substrates.
- Only use special tools dedicated to the application of window films.
- The film should not be covered by stickers or self-adhesive films.
- Protect the film edges with a marine type sealing.
- If peeled off after its application, the deterioration of the structure and appearance of the film will be irreversible.
- After application you must wait for one month before any cleaning of the surface with soapy water.
HEXIS-tip
SKYLINE solar protection films for buildings do not require any special maintenance, just the use of a pH-neutral soapy solution.
To make your choice even easier, SKYLINE solar protection films are compatible with all types of glazing*.
*with the exception of triple glazing, we recommend that you refer to the HEXIS support centre.
