The film is composed of 50-µm, transparent, cast PVC, which is coated with a pressure-sensitive, acrylic adhesive. The adhesive is micro-structured for faster application and air evacuation. Specially designed for full vehicle wraps and heavily deformed surfaces. Intended for solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV inkjet printing. It has a glossy surface finish.

- Due to its micro-embossed liner, it is easy to be repositioned on flat or curved surfaces.

Toepassing & onderhoud
Both the ambient and the substrate temperature must comply with the minimum application temperature.
- Conformable product, particularly suitable for vehicles.
- Apply the film:
- to a surface that is clean and free from any traces of contaminants (dust, grease, wax, silicone, etc.).
- in a clean environment without excessive dust.
Particular care must be taken to clean the angles and periphery of the target surfaces.
- Dry or wet application method.
- Dry application method:
Due to its liner structure, the CLEARWRAP film can easily be repositioned on the substrate.
- Handle the film with clean hands or wear lint-free gloves after having removed the liner.
- Apply the film evenly with a squeegee for optimal adhesion of the film to the substrate.
In certain cases, unwanted squeegee marks may be visible on the dark surfaces after film application.
- Wet application method with soapy water only:
- Always remove the liner immediately before application, and apply the film right after as instructed during the HEXIS training courses.
- Apply even pressure to the entire graphic using a squeegee in order to properly expel the application liquid.
HEXIS recommend carrying out an application test on a heavily deformed surface to ensure the good adhesion of the film after removal of the application liquid.
- Adhesion to glass, steel, aluminium, PVC, melamine, etc. except grain substrates or substrates coated with acrylic paint.
- In the case of painted substrates, self-adhesive media must only be applied to undamaged original paintwork. If the paintwork is not original and/or damaged, the application and the removal are at the judgement and risk of the installer.
- To clean the film, use a non-abrasive sponge or soft cloth with soapy water.
Aanbevelingen
- The surface finish of your printings may be modified/improved/protected by applying the PC50MICP2 laminate.
